
WHO
does what....
When we contract with you to provide
training, especially if it involves NVQs or SVQs:
- WE register your candidates
- WE kick off the training
on a date and at a venue agreed by YOU
- YOU provide us with a
Purchase Order or equivalent
- YOU may also be required
by US to provide some additional help to your candidates, particularly if
it involves the A1 (Assessor) or V1 (Verifier) Units. Usually this takes the
form of experienced staff who may already be assessing or verifying in your
company.
- YOU assist and support
the candidates in an way that is reasonable as they prepare their evidence
for assessment.
- YOU provide access to
the candidates for our Assessors as required, plus a minimum of access to
our own Internal Verifier or any Verifier appoiinted by the Awarding Body
in order to check with candidates on how the assessments are progressing.
- WE can then take care
of the assessments and verification, etc.
- WE will despatch the
certificates, when received, to yourselves by Special Delivery.
What
candidates are required to do
Your candidates will be
required by US to complete any tasks necessary in order to complete their courses.
Sometimes this may involve agreeing a LEARNING CONTRACT, particularly if a taught
course, or formal qualifications, are involved. For more information on taught
courses or formal qualifications go here.
In the case of NVQs and
SVQs your candidates will be required to:
- Attend one or more briefing
sessions.
- Collect documentary or
other evidence (including Witness Statements from managers or colleagues)
which may be required to illustrate or corroborate their claims to competence.
- Contact US (e.g. by telephone)
if any circumstances arise which may require meetings to be rescheduled or
of they have any queries.
- Attend one or more assessment
interviews, which will usually be conducted by means of Professional Discussion.
These interviews will be recorded.
- Sign Claims to Competence
forms as required by the Awarding Body documentation
- Complete any tasks necessary
in order to make their portfolio of documentation ready for showing to Verifiers.
- Be available for interview,
either in person or by telephone, should the Verifiers require this.
